We understand that buying your new designer sunglasses online has pros and cons, you want the savings but aren't sure if they'll fit you just right. That's where our Return Policy comes into play, and we assure you that none of our competitors will work as hard as us in making sure you're 100% satisfied with your purchase.

There are two types of returns here at NYCoptics.com, they are as follows:

Was it our fault?
If the problem was our fault, then we offer a full refund within 7 days from the receipt of your item. The receipt of your item is figured from the tracking number you will receive once your item is shipped. Tracking numbers can be checked on www.UPS.com and they show the date, time, zip code or postal code and the name of the person who signed for them. All you need to do is login to your account here at NYCoptics.com and beside your order there will be a return button, click on that and fill out the short form on the following page. You will automatically receive instructions on how to complete your return including the return address. Here's a quick recap:

- If the fault was ours, you have 7 days from the date of delivery to file your return.
- Login to your account and beside your order there is a Return button, fill out the form for instructions on how to complete your return.
- There are no re-stocking fees and you will be 100% reimbursed in a timely fashion.
- Refunds are issued in the same form of payment.

***Please note, without trying to sound over confident, we very rarely make mistakes! We have a double check system in place where two (2) of our employees must sign off on the accuracy of your item before it is shipped out .

Reasons it could be our fault:
- You receive the wrong item
- The item you received was defective

It wasn't our fault, but you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase?
If for any reason you're not 100% happy with your order, you may return them to us for a hassle free exchange within 7 days from the date of delivery. The date of delivery is determined by the tracking number you will be given as soon as your item is shipped out. We hate rules and companies that treat their customers like numbers, instead of individual people so we don't want to limit the number of exchanges per order, but we do ask that you keep in mind there is a reasonable limit to the number of exchanges you can do. Reasonable will be decided on a case-by-case basis. All exchanges must be returned to us with the original packaging (papers of authenticity, carrying case, etc) and in an unworn condition. The pair you are exchanging for must be equal or great value to the one you are exchanging. All canceled orders are subject to a 20% restocking fee. If you do wish to return an order and do not want to exchange for another item we do charge a cancellation fee. If you decide to cancel the order in any case without an approval from us we will charge a restocking fee.

***Please note, if an item has visible signs of wear, or is not returned to us with the original packaging as defined above, your return can not be accepted.


  Some refunds are subject to 20% restocking fee and shipping charges are non refundable, if you took advantage of free shipping we will deduct $10 to cover the shipping amount. All prescription orders are also not refundable and are considered a service. In the case that a prescription is filled incorrectly we will need to receive the frame back so that we can verify that our lab made a mistake, at which point we will fill the job at our cost. We do take anywhere from 1-5 business days to process an order. If the order is canceled within the 5 business days we will charge a restocking fee for an early cancellation. After the 5 days we will issue you a refund in full if the order has still not shipped. We do have a verification period with our merchant before orders are shipped. They require us to go through a few steps before the order is released for shipment. We are a private company and due to a lot of internet fraud online we are required to process the order according to the merchants terms. We normally ship within 1-3 days. If you would like for the inconvenience we could issue you a refund for the shipping fee and we can still ship it express to you.

We have had a lot of customers using the address posted on our contact page for unauthorized returns. This address is NOT our return address, any orders that are returned to that address may be returned to sender OR may take extra time for processing.
